Residential Conferences

The main campus at the heart of the University offers a range of conference and meeting rooms that include tiered lecture theatres, varying sizes of seminar rooms and networking and exhibition spaces.

Each room has easy to use state of the art audio-visual equipment including a PC (with internet connectivity), DVD player and visualiser. All rooms have the ability to plug in your own laptop and lecture theatres have surround sound, lectern and lapel microphones.

All spaces are fully accessible for people with physical disabilities and the majority of rooms also have hearing loops fitted.

We offer varied and flexible catering options to meet your needs and the conference team will go through the range of choices available. Catering is usually served in one of the central networking areas where we provide space for your registration desk, sponsors and exhibitors.

Portsmouth is a popular destination for conferences and along with the Portsmouth Guildhall, we can cater for almost 2,000 delegates. We can also provide dinners and receptions on campus and some of the visitor attractions in the city also provide corporate facilities, including the Spinnaker Tower and the Historic Dockyard. We work very closely with external venues to create the best conference experience.

We are proud to be one of the first Universities in the UK to be granted Fairtrade status and all of our products are ethically sourced.

Accommodation can be provided in a choice of locations on campus.
